By The Numbers is committed to respecting your private information. We do not collect any personal information about you when you visit our website unless you choose to give that information to us.
Basic information about your computer is collected when you visit our site. Basic information is also collected about your activity on our site. This information may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, domain name, time spent accessing our site, pages accessed on our site, and referring website addresses. This information is used to generate statistics regarding use of our site. It does not personally identify you and is not linked to any personal information.
We conduct surveys and focus groups on behalf of many of our clients. If you choose to participate in one of our surveys or focus groups, we may provide your responses to the client who is paying for the project. We may also use your responses in analyses and reports for this client.
If you fill out one of our online surveys, a cookie may be placed on your machine in order to track your progress on the survey. The only cookies we use in our online surveys are session cookies. These cookies do not contain any personal information and are deleted when your session ends.
Most of our clients also have strong privacy policies. However, a client's policy may be different from ours. If we are conducting a survey or focus group for a client and you would like to read their privacy policy, we recommend that you check their website or contact them directly.
