Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy
By The Numbers works with the Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy
at Penn State University on the annual statewide evaluation of Pennsylvania's family literacy programs as well
as the evaluation of a number of individual programs within the state. The annual evaluation reports for
2001-2002,
2000-2001,
1999-2000, and
1998-1999
are available online.
We are also now working with the Institute on the annual statewide evaluation of all adult basic and literacy education (ABLE) programs in Pennsylvania.
We have worked with the Institute on a project to identify work-based foundation skills for employees, basic skills certificate development, an evaluation of family learning centers operated by the Literacy Volunteers of America with funding from Verizon, an evaluation of the Queens Borough (New York) Public Library's video teleconferencing program, and an evaluation of Pennsylvania's statewide Educational Quality for Family Literacy Initiative. - Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13
